There are a wide range of accommodation providers exhibiting at the Business Travel Show in London this week. Some of these are highlighted below:

The Ascott Limited

The award-winning serviced residence operator The Ascott Limited (Ascott), officially cuts the ribbon to launch the newly renovated Citadines Trafalgar Square at the Business Travel Show after an extensive programme to redesign and refurbish one of its most popular London apart’hotel locations. The property will be renamed Citadines Prestige Trafalgar Square to celebrate its new fresh look.

The investment of more than £6 million will see all apartments being intelligently restyled to present a comfortable and modern living space with the needs of its loyal corporate market in mind and will offer air-conditioning, complimentary WiFi, a private kitchen and flatscreen TV in every apartment as standard. Daily breakfast is available and its 24-hour manned reception ensures a friendly welcome home each day. There is no minimum stay.

Best Western

Best Western is launching the Best Western Business Account at the Business Travel Show. This is a new scheme that allows companies to book Best Western hotels and train travel in Great Britain using one account. Employees can have individual cards to pay for travel and hotel costs with one central billing account and reporting system.

One of the most dynamic luxury hospitality companies in the Middle East operating two properties in Abu Dhabi will be announcing:

Frasers Hospitality

Frasers Hospitality, one of the leaders in the deluxe serviced apartment sector, is planning to double its number of residences over the next two years. Currently standing at over 7,000, this will grow by more than 3,700 apartments by the end of 2013.

In the last year new properties have opened for business in Istanbul, Budapest, Doha, Melbourne and Jakarta, construction has begun on a new property in Riyadh which is due to open in early 2013 with a second property in the same city also due for completion in the same year. The company has also signed further properties in Saudi Arabia and in Oman. In addition, the company intends to increase its European portfolio with negotiations in Frankfurt and in Moscow at an advanced stage, with further properties being searched in Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain and in the UK.

Hilton Worldwide

With Hilton Worldwide’s participation in this year’s Business Travel Show, two convenient hotels for Earl’s Court are Hilton London Olympia & Hilton London Kensington – each with exciting new business guest offerings and enhanced food and beverage options.

Hilton London Olympia has recently unveiled a new concept for its bar and restaurant, Society, as part of an on-going £7million refurbishment plan. The Victorian-inspired re-design of the bar and restaurant was undertaken by an award-winning interior design company, and has resulted in a sophisticated and luxurious space that reflects the heritage of the surrounding Kensington area.

The nearby Hilton London Kensington, in leafy Holland Park, has also recently announced a new food and beverage offering with the re-launch of its restaurant, WestEleven. Going back to the hotel’s traditional English roots, the new menu offers traditional yet up-market English food in response to guests and locals searching for good English cuisine in the W11 Kensington area.

Hotelzon

Hotelzon Online is celebrating its ten year anniversary this year.

HRS
In January, HRS, the worldwide leading hotel portal for corporate customers, entered into a cooperation agreement with Amadeus, a leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry. This agreement gives hotels affiliated to HRS access to the global booking systems of Amadeus. Once integrated all HRS hotel partners will be bookable worldwide by approximately 91,100 travel agents and 65,900 airline sales offices, which use the Amadeus system. In 2010 the Amadeus system processed more than 850 million invoiced travel transactions.

HRS is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year with a bit of a do on its stand at 4pm on Tuesday.

Lindner Hotels & Resorts

All Lindner hotels in Germany now offer a fully organic breakfast. Lindner is the first hotel group to be organically certified. That means guests can rest assured that all the organic products comply with the EU Organic Regulation and carry the German ‘Bio’ organic label.

The company also plans on launching a new hotel brand. The focus of the unique hotel concept is the topic of ‘Live Community’, and is expected to start late 2012 under the name “me and all”.

Skyline Worldwide

Skyline Worldwide is expanding into the City of London. The company is also currently working on an online booking tool called SkyLINC that will streamline our booking process and allow corporate clients to book a serviced apartment anywhere in the world at anytime through their dedicated online portal.

Supercity

Supercity provides accommodation predominantly for the business traveller in its apart-hotels in London. It currently has two properties located in Earls Court and will be opening a third apart-hotel this summer in Farringdon – perfectly located for the Olympics – and will be called The Rosebery, which will comprise of 61 suites, incorporating studios, one bedroom suites and two bedroom apartments. They will be fully furnished and equipped to create a home from home in London. They also benefit from a weekly maid service and complimentary Wi-Fi.
